Monday Morning Feeling

Monday morning on 2 March was a great one for Amy's Retreat. It saw Dawn Norie and Emma Beech from Panel Systems Ltd coming along to present a cheque for £1000 to a delighted Joanne Hall and Gabrielle Latham from Amy’s Retreat. Panel Systems Ltd, a Sheffield based company, decided at the beginning of 2008 to sponsor Amy’s Retreat for Kids with Cancer and involved local companies in their fundraising efforts to raise an impressive £1000.

Our thanks to Thurcroft Cancer Fund

On Friday 20 February, the Thurcroft Cancer Fund presented Amy's Retreat with a donation for £5000 for the 3rd year running. The presentation evening, at the Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall in Thurcroft, complete with entertainment, saw £50000 being handed out to 10 cancer charities. Most of this was raised through their charity shop in Thurcroft. This fantastic donation will enable Amy's Retreat to send five families who have a child with cancer for a holiday/respite break, allowing those families to spend precious family time together.

Amy's Retreat Easter Event 2009

This year will see the 100th holiday Amy's Retreat has provided for children with cancer and their families. To mark the occasion we are holding an Easter Event at the Rotary Centre in Castleton, on Wednesday 8 April and Thursday 9 April 2009. There will be lots of activities, and all families and supporters of Amy's Retreat are very welcome.
